SparkPost Concludes Record Year, Driven By Leading Cloud Email Delivery Service

Adoption by Major Internet and Global 2000 Brands Continues

SparkPost, the highest-performing cloud email service available, today announced record revenues for the 2015 financial year. Other major highlights of 2015 included the expansion of SparkPost’s technology offerings, significant additions to the company’s already robust customer base, and the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with HP. Of particular note, the SparkPost cloud email service is now the fastest growing cloud email service, having closed out the year processing billions of email messages a month, up dramatically from an almost standing start in January 2015.

Pinterest, Zillow, The Financial Times, CareerBuilder and several major financial institutions are just a few of the world’s largest senders and most recognizable brand names now utilizing SparkPost to support their triggered, transactional and email marketing campaigns. Currently, SparkPost technology is moving over 25 percent of the world’s email – more than any other company in the email services industry.

“SparkPost successfully processes billions of legitimate emails every month, and I expect this to grow significantly in 2016 as companies increasingly use email as their primary means of communicating one-to-one with current and prospective customers,” said SparkPost CEO Phillip Merrick. “Our customers are improving their overall marketing performance by moving away from blasting out batches of generalized emails in favor of messages that are personalized.”

Another milestone the company reached in 2015 was securing a strategic partnership with HP that includes integration and distribution of SparkPost with HP Exstream Delivery Manager. “We are honored that HP recently selected SparkPost as a key e-delivery partner. The combination of our intelligent email sending capabilities with the power and flexibility of HP Exstream offers the most compelling customer communication management (CCM) solution on the market,” added Merrick.

Also contributing to the company’s success in the past year has been the acquisition of Port25, adding significantly to the company’s technology portfolio, engineering staff and customer base.

“We accomplished a great deal in 2015, from the acquisition of Port25 to the dramatic ramp-up of our cloud email service. We are looking forward to another year of record growth in 2016 driven by the success of our customers’ email programs,” Merrick concluded.
