Mail Privacy Protection is here. Now what?
They said, “[Mail Privacy Protection] stops senders from using invisible pixels to collect information about the user. [It prevents] senders from knowing when they open an email, and masks their IP address so it can’t be linked to other online activity or used to determine their location.” Essentially, opens will be unreliable, by our estimates, for 40% of the email population. We’re already seeing 97% of all iOS 15 users opting into Mail Privacy Protection since it launched in late September. With that adoption, we’re already seeing huge impacts.
